A.R.F. Cookie Recipe

Occasionally we make doggie biscuits and sell them to benefit our ARF (Animal Relief Fund) at the clinic. Many times we are asked for the recipe. Well here it is! Its very versatile and smells so good you might want to try a biscuit!

4 Cups Flour

1 Cup Corn Meal

2 Tbsp. Baking Powder

1/2 - 3/4 Cup Vegetable Oil

2/3 Cup Broth (Any kind, veggie, chicken, beef, etc)

2/3 Cup Water

Shredded Carrots for color

Mix all together in a large bowl. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut. Place cut-outs onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until hard. Be creative and choose flavor to your dogs taste. Some variations include substituting a 4 cup mixture of wheat flour, oatmeal, and diced apples for the 4 cups regular flour. You can be creative and use whatever is around the house, just keeping the relative concentrations the same. Sometimes if the dough is too sticky you may need to add extra flour to make it easier to roll out. Once made, refrigerate or freeze the cookies for storage
