Nairobi

I am a chow-mix.

My guardians, Andréa, Laura, & Maggie Kuchy, named me that because they love Africa so much. My middle name, Lynn, is also my guardian's middle name.

My favorite treat is my guardian, Andréa's, homemade doggie cookies. I also love my kong ball with whipped cream cheese and a biscuit inside.

My age in dog years is about 54 (8.5 people yrs)

Something funny that happened to me was the time I fell through a deep bed of snow when I walked off the edge of the trail and the snow swallowed me whole! This happened right after I moved to Moscow from S. Florida and I had no idea what snow was, but I was having so much fun! I was so confused that I was absolutely stuck in the strange white stuff up to my chin, but Andréa pulled me out. Not a lot of funny things have happened to me, but I have been told that my smile is contageous and makes everyone else laugh. I think that makes me inherently funny.

My guardians love me so much because of my contageous smile, my deep, big liquid brown eyes, my sense of humor, my sensitivity and sweetness. They love me because I used to stare off in deep thought into the ocean in Florida at night for a long time and I have shown them that it is possible to overcome a tough beginning in life on the streets, illnesses, the loss of my best friend, Kalahari, and to once again be joyful.

I am so spoiled that I even sometimes get to sleep in the same crate with my new puppy-friend, Zaire.

I have been a patient at Animal Clinic & Hospital for 5 months, where Dr. Dan Brown does my check-ups.
