2008 February Pet of the Month "Sierra Sage"

I am an Australian Shepard/Kelpie Cross.

My master Obsidian named me that because the Sierra Sage where she grew up is really strong and resilient, just like me.

My favorite treat is carrots and "beggin strips".

My age in human years is 14 years.

Something funny that happened to me was the time I high-centered myself this last winter. Snows no fun on old bones.

My master loves me so much that I got two custom made pillows beds, and they go with me almost everywhere so I always have a soft spot to lay.

Sierra found her owner at a local stockyard where she was abandoned at 6 weeks old. Sage is her owner's dearest and most treasured friend. She always meets her at the door with her beautiful brown eyes, wiggling her tail nub, and her I-love-you-growls, sharing in my happiness and sadness. When her owner has a bad day, she lays her head in her lap and her eyes tell her owner that "It's all right - I'm here." She's a guardian angel, her little girl.

I have been a patient at Animal Clinic & Hospital for two years where Dr. Dan Brown does my checkups.
