Mother Jones

Hi. My name is Mother Jones.

I am a truly extraordinary stray kitty.

My family‹Gary, Marilyn, Annalie, and Jackson‹chose my name because of parallels between me and my namesake,
Mother Jones magazine, which was named after a radical reformer. Like the magazine and the original Mother Jones herself,
I'm smart, fearless, fighting for the underdog (well, in this case the undercat), and getting results.

My favorite treats are playing with my family, my kittens, my "toy" shoelace, and snacking on the local rodent and bird populations.

My age in cat years is probably about 21 (roughly 1 1/2 in human years).

Something funny that happened to me was the time I tested positive for feline leukemia and a few months later tested negative.
Okay, so it wasn't "funny" in the "ha ha" sense, but it was highly unusual. Dr. Bales said she'd never seen a cat beat feline leukemia before.

My family loves me so much that they need a bailout from spending their last dime to save me.

I am so spoiled that I get to sleep wherever I darned please--as long as my new feline housemates don't disapprove.
My next challenge is to reform their attitude toward me and my kittens!

I have been a patient at Animal Clinic & Hospital for five months, where Dr. Bales does my check-ups.
